  • 0830-1000 Basic Pump theory (centrifugal and Positive Displacement)
  • > 1000-1015 Break
  • > 1015-1200 Pump Troubleshooting (Glass-Face Pump, Cavitation, Curve reading)
  • > 1200- 1300 Lunch
  • > 1300- 1400 Break into Groups for “Hands-On” Sessions
  • > 1400 – 1445 Low Pressure Sewer collection systems
  • 1445-1500 Break

  • 1500-1600 Force Main hydraulics (water hammer, air entrainment, vacuum breakers & air release valves)

Instructor bio: Stefan Fediw has been in the pumping industry for more than 20 years. He currently works for the Ontario John Brooks Company office and is responsible for supporting Industrial and Municipal Consulting Engineers.  He has worked for several pump Distributors and Manufacturers – of note he was the Engineered Systems Manager for Gorman-Rupp Pumps for over a decade.  He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from the University of Western Ontario and lives in St.Thomas Ontario
