Water & Sewer Utility Certified Operator

The City of Martensville has an opening for a permanent full-time position for a Water & Sewer Utility Operator with the Public Works Department.  This position will require week-end work and will be responsible for the following:

  • assist in operation of the water and sewer utility system in accordance with provincial government licenses and regulations, City policies and manufacturer’s safety standards.
  • assists with construction and repairs to water and sewer lines, service connections, fire hydrants and manholes.
  • reads, installs and repairs water meters
  • assist with regular inspection, testing, recording, maintenance and custodial duties at the water pump houses and sewer lift stations.
  • assists in operation and maintenance of lagoon and sewage discharge operations.

Applicants require, at minimum, the following Saskatchewan Environment Classes:

  • Water Distribution System – Class II
  • Waste Water Collection – Class II
  • Waste Water Treatment – Class I
